Can I Ask You To Read Something?

New Year's Resolutions

I appreciate all of the blogs that I "follow" and I truly appreciate all of the wonderful bloggers that "follow" me.

Just so you know, I "follow" some blogs strictly for wardrobe inspiration.  Some ideas work for me and I incorporate them.  Some ideas do not.  Some ensembles are stunning.  Some make me wonder what the blogger was thinking.  All are inspirational in some way. 

I really do look forward to seeing what some of you have worn on a given day.  It is oddly therapeutic.  There is probably some kind of deep seeded issue there that I should have treated, huh?

Some blogs are just fun, even a bit silly.

Then there are blogs that I truly LOVE reading.

I enjoy taking a peek into your personal style as well but the things that you write is what truly captivates me.  SoCal Sophisticate is a great example of that.  

Abby is as sweet as the day is long.  She was one of the first to discover my blog and to actually leave a comment more than once.  Every time I see her blog pop up with a new post I can't wait to read what she has written.  Her style is pretty sharp, too!

This particular post is one that I really hope you will read.

You see lots of different resolutions, lists of goals, plans and even promises for the future at this time of the year if you read things like blogs much at all.  That is all great but so many of us get stuck looking forward and forget about the here and now.  No time like the present, as the saying goes.

Abby has said as much so much more eloquently than I ever could.  I hope you will take a minute and read this particular post and then hang around her little corner of the internet for awhile.  Her blog really is great!

I know, I know... I Swore To Myself Today A Post Would Go Up...

Ladies, first my apologies.  I am barely keeping up this week.  Well, really, I am not keeping up at all.  You could say that it has largely been a craptastic week.  Hee Hee  Thanks again Kassi.  

That said, I swore to myself that I would somehow squeeze in a few minutes to get a post up today so here I sit at home during lunch trying desperately to get this done.  I know that when I "throw something together" for work it rarely turns out well so I apologize in advance for a post that will be decidedly defunct of whit and whimsy, let alone any truly thought provoking commentary.

Second, my most sincere THANK YOU to all that have taken the time to read my ramblings and comment on my blog.  I know that I have said it before but I am overwhelmed.  You guys are amazing!  I truly LOVE reading your comments and I hope you will continue to bless me with a few moments of your valuable time.  I am so honored when you do.

Now, onto today's outfit.

Your eyes do not deceive... those are indeed slacks.  If you read my blog at all, you know that I am a "skirt girl" for sure but occasionally I will break out the slacks just to keep people on their toes.  Hee Hee

Awful picture, huh?  I just wasn't willing to commit the time necessary to try and make it look a little better.

As you can see, yet another of my lovelies collected from Harold's over the years.  Miss that store so much.

Given that today's outfit was somewhat boring I decided to liven things up a bit with a great pair of shoes.

Aren't these pink suede heels just stunning?  LOVE them.  The only draw back, I have to be really careful not to get them wet.  As you all know, suede heels and water are not a good combination.

Thank You & May I Say I Am Honored Beyond Words...

Ladies, I am absolutely BLOWN AWAY that you all take the time to read my thoughts.

When I decided to start this blog a few days ago I never really thought that anyone would take the time to read my ramblings, especially those concerning my wardrobe choice on any given day.  The "Are Those Real Leather?" post has been the most popular one yet.  I am amazed.

This blog is proving to be such fun! Maybe even more fun than I had envisioned.  The only problem... time, I never seem to have enough of it. I have so much to say and new ideas for posts almost hourly.

For example, I wore one of my leather skirts to work & then out to a Rangers "watch party" for the World Series late last week.  Some good stories to tell.  Also, I am trying to pick between a couple of things in that pescky Talbots catalog again and I sure would like your thoughts.  BTW... if you read this post, I decided to wait on the suede skirt and ordered the ruffles.  Looking forward to its arrival.  Maybe I can get back to those two posts soon but I really want to tell you about my weekend in the suburbs in the next post.  I guess I am getting my stories kinda backwards... oh well?

Until I can get the next post up, I hope that this heartfelt THANK YOU to all that stop by my little corner of the internet will do?  Again, I am HONORED that you have taken the time.  I hope that my future posts can remain interesting & entertaining enough that you will continue to pop in now and again.
