In Style Magazine...

My November issue of In Style Magazine arrived yesterday.  At least that is when I finally got around to emptying the mail box.  I am in a VERY bad habit of only going by the post office to check my box about once a week.  There is rarely anything as exciting in there as the monthly edition of In Style Magazine anyway.  Who knows when it actually arrived?  Ha!

Anyway... I was so excited to see several pages dedicated to one of my wardrobe passions... leather.  Obviously, this is a trend that seems to be developing some traction but will it actually step into the mainstream or will I remain the only one in the building that wears leather skirts to work routinely?  In Style Magazine certainly appears to think I won't be alone again this season.  Yea!  What do you think?

How beautiful is that skirt?  I bet it is unbelievably soft.  The blouse is such an incredible cut & shade as well.  Perfect.  Tom Ford designs some fantastic stuff.  I wish that I could afford it.  Ugh!  Perhaps one day?

Of course, Kate Bosworth is simply gorgeous and that certainly helps.

According to In Style there are five very important trends for Fall... Number 5... leather.  Yea!

I just LOVE the jacket to the right... so workable in my office.  The croc print skirt at the bottom is nice, too.  I certainly could work that into my wardrobe.  May have to stop by Bloomingdale's?

These ladies are all stunning and their dresses are equally stunning.  Not sure that I would get away with any of these at the office but perhaps on a date?  I especially like the red one although I think I would prefer it in one of the more muted pink tones.  I think red is best in smaller doses.  How about you?

So what do you think of this trend?  Do you think leather can ever make its way into the mainstream except in belts, handbags & jackets?

- The Leather Skirt -

  1. I LOVE the new leather trend! I have a friend who rocks these leather shorts with adorable feminine blouses - the contrast is so cute. I've only been brave enough to wear a pencil skirt with a thick leather band around the waist. It's on trend but still wearable for my conservative office ;)

Love all the pictures and your writing-style!! I def will be checking back here for more leather-inspiration!

  2. Thanks so much for such kind thoughts.

I appreciate so much that you would take the time to read what I have written, let alone actually leave a comment, too.

  3. Definitely love that first leather skirt - so gorgeous!! I agree about the red leather, I think smaller doses are a little bit better! Great blog - thanks so much for your comment on my blog! :)
