So where have I been?
One word...
Pneumonia...
That's what my doctor tells me.
What I will tell you... tired... VERY tired.
Cough. Fever. Headache. Blah!
Since I do not have a single class in medical school I will give my doctor her due... diagnosis... pneumonia.
No matter what my actual medical problem was (or more accurately, still is), the one thing that is absolutely undeniable... that microscopic little virus absolutely whipped my butt!
Honestly, I was beginning to slow down almost two weeks ago. Sis pleaded with me to go to the doctor.
Frankly, making time for a doctor's appointment is not something that I look forward to fitting into the daily routine. Besides, I am indestructible!

The truth... I should have listened to my sister.
By the time I made it to the doctor last week I was bordering on hospitalization.
My doctor made me promise to go to my sister's place (Sis ate this demand up) AND rest.
No work, no chores, no errands, no Internet... ugh!
Honestly, it did not take much convincing. From the time I arrived at my sister's place until midday on Sunday pretty much all I did was sleep. Hence, my apparent "disappearance" the past few days.
I am still on the mend but I am improving.
No work the rest of the week... again. I can only imagine what my "in box" will look like when Monday roles around. Aghast! The thought makes me want to run for the covers!
As some of you may have noticed, I have returned to reading some of my favorite blogs. The inspiration is exhilarating. Its calming and therapeutic. I enjoy it.
I am watching old movies, reading and resting as well. My doctor is insistent... Sis is ever watchful.

So that is my story.
Perhaps an outfit post early next week as I re-engage the world?
For now, my jammies really would not impress anyone.

I will keep reading and commenting on your blogs... hope you will be patient with mine.

It's so easy to run yourself into the ground! Take note, when you start to feel unwell it's your body telling you something important! I know we are all guilty of it! Hope you get better soon and next time be ever so careful.
ReplyDeleteHope to hear you are on the mend very soon
